BUDAPEST BAR
A good shot of Gypsy temperament, dazzling music, a dash of Hungarian-style melodies mixed with a smoky coffeehouse milieu – all this wrapped up in a performance by top-ranking Hungarian singers. Budapest Bar is the meeting point of generations and cultures – complete with the finest musicians and amazingly talented performers.
The group started back in 2007 when a loose confederation of musicians and singers got together. Founder Róbert Farkas (who started his career as first violinist with the 100-member Gypsy Orchestra) wanted to give café Gypsy music traditions fresh impetus. The result: three years of unbroken success! Fans say that Budapest Bar should be issued on prescription, with guaranteed positive side effects only!
